The Omoda 9 is a luxurious SUV that we’re big fans of here at My Electric Lease. Equipped with a clever hybrid powertrain, this comfortable and spacious five-seater packs everything that we’ve come to love about Omoda into one good-looking package.

Omoda has just launched a stealthy new Black Noble trim level, too, alongside some updates to the ‘regular’ car. Here, we’re going to take a look through what’s changed and what you need to know. Remember, if you’re interested in the Omoda 9, then check out our current deals.

Black Noble - What is it?

Black Noble is a brand new trim level that Omoda has just introduced on the 9. It’s priced from £46,495, and brings a raft of changes to both the inside and outside of the car for a more stealthy appearance.

Of course, the ‘standard’ Omoda 9 is still available if you’re not a fan of the Black Noble’s design.

What does it change on the outside?

On the outside, things get a lot more understated. It’s why the Black Noble adds black roof rails, black front and rear bumper trims and ditches the standard car’s chrome detailing for black replacements. Overall, it gives the Omoda 9 more of a stealthy appearance.

It’s all finished off with large black alloy wheels which do a great job of filling the 9’s arches.

Are there any changes on the inside?

The changes aren’t just on the outside, either. No, on the Black Noble you get a cool black suede headliner, which adds an extra level of premium feel to this spacious SUV. There’s also a black suede upholstery for the seats.

As with the regular Omoda 9, the Black Noble still has acres of space to offer, with a huge 660-litre boot meaning that there’s more than enough room for all of your luggage.

What about equipment?

You’re still getting the same great level of standard equipment on the Black Noble as you are on the standard Omoda 9. Highlights include a 12.3-inch central display, high-speed wireless smartphone charging and a 540-degree parking camera.

You’ll also find a panoramic sunroof fitted as standard alongside a handy head-up display and a Sony 14-speaker sound system.

Has the regular Omoda 9 been updated?

That’s right. While the 9 is already good at what it does, Omoda has just tweaked some key areas. For instance, it has added a new massage function for the front seats and added a greater level of electric seat adjustment.

Omoda has also revised the 9’s suspension system, with a newly-tuned intelligent damping system there to provide the best-possible ride quality.

Are the engine choices the same?

Things remain the same under the Omoda 9’s bonnet, but that’s not a bad thing as we were already big fans of this setup. It uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine linked to a 34.46kWh battery. The end result is a car that’ll manage up to 90 miles on electric-only power.
