We may charge a cancellation fee for services already provided if a vehicle is cancelled. We may also retain any holding deposit or processing fee already paid. Cancellation fees will be invoiced on receipt of notification of cancellation of a vehicle and payable within 14 days. Also, any additional cancellation costs passed to My Electric Lease by our suppliers will be payable by the customer in addition to our standard cancellation charges as set out below.
Cancellation fees will be invoiced on receipt of notification of cancellation of a vehicle order and are payable as follows:
For regulated customers (personal customers, sole traders, and partnerships with up to three partners), a cancellation charge of £120 (including VAT), will be payable if a vehicle order is cancelled within 14 days of the customer signing the order form – this is to cover the cost of services already provided.
An invoice will be sent to the customer for payment, or if the customer has already paid a processing fee or holding deposit, this amount will be deducted from it and any remaining amount refunded to the customer.
Should the customer cancel the order more than 14 days after signing the order form, an amount of £269.99 (inc. VAT) will be payable. An invoice will be sent to the customer for payment, or if the customer has already paid a processing fee or holding deposit this will be deducted from it, and any remaining amount refunded to the customer.
If we incur additional cancellation costs from a supplier or funder, these will also become payable by the customer. An invoice will be sent to the customer for payment if this happens.
For non-regulated customers (limited companies, partnerships with four or more partners, or limited liability partnerships), a cancellation charge of £269.99 (including VAT) plus £600 (including VAT) per vehicle if a customer cancels the order after it is received by My Electric Lease. Also, any costs passed to My Electric Lease by our suppliers will be payable by the customer.
An invoice will be sent to the customer for payment. If the customer has already paid a processing fee or holding deposit, this amount will be deducted from it and any remaining amount invoiced to the customer.

For regulated credit broking agreements that have been concluded without any face-to-face dealings (i.e., over the phone, internet etc.) a customer has the statutory right to cancel the contract without penalty and without giving any reason within 14 calendar days of signing the finance agreement. This is in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges Regulations).
This legal right applies equally to all personal customers, sole traders, and partnerships with up to three partners.
These rights do not apply to limited companies, limited liability partnerships (LLP) and partnerships with four or more partners as these agreements are unregulated.
If you wish to exercise your right to cancel, please email My Electric Lease via this link to request this.
Please include your full name and address and details of the vehicle(s) you wish to cancel.
