Renault is another firm that’s well known for its vans, with the firm’s commercial vehicle lineage dating all the way back to the 1980. Since then it’s continued to expand its line-up, with a range of models spanning from compact options through to far larger vehicles.
Its vans are known for being well-equipped and offering great value for money, and in more recent years it has become a key player when it comes to electric vans. Its early expertise with models like the Zoe paid dividends, with the French firm recently introducing a second generation version of its Kangoo, while the Master E-Tech continues to lead the way in the larger segment.
Offering plenty in the way of style and technology, Renault’s commercial vehicles are certainly able to stand out in a particularly competitive field.
New Renault vans are supplied with a warranty package lasting three years. Unlimited mileage is allowed in the first two years, followed by a further year limited to a total mileage of 100,000.
During that time, Renault will repair or replace any parts or materials that are deemed to be defective. The paintwork warranty runs for three years, while the anti-corrosion guarantee lasts 12 years. The Kangoo E-Tech’s battery also has a warranty of eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Renault vans also come with roadside assistance lasting three years or 100,000 miles, whichever arrives sooner. Cover is provided across the UK and Northern Ireland, and Renault will tow you to its nearest dealer if repairs cannot be carried out at the roadside.

Undoubtedly the key reason to choose an electric Renault van is for its expertise and experience when it comes to battery-powered models. This French firm was producing EVs years ahead of other manufacturers, and was one of the very first to venture into EV vans. With more than a decade of knowledge, that really comes clear when you get behind the wheel of an electric Renault van when it comes to the way they drive and their functionality.
There are two clear offerings available to suit two very different audiences too, with the Kangoo E-Tech catering to the small van market while the Master E-Tech is aimed at those wanting a far larger and more practical van,
Regardless of which you go for, electric Renault vans are available with some particularly cutting-edge technology, many of which are taken directly from the French firm’s impressive electric cars. Features on offer include a 360-degree camera system, digital dials and also keyless entry. Its vans are very well-finished inside too, offering plenty of creature comforts and space, and make them ideal for drivers spending lots of time behind the wheel.
Renault offers two electric vans currently – the Kangoo E-Tech and Master E-Tech. Here are the highlights of each.
Renault has recently introduced its new generation of Kangoo, which is the firm’s smallest van. Sold alongside petrol versions, this electric E-Tech model adopts a new powertrain, using a highly efficient 45kWh battery that allows for a claimed range of 186 miles – the best in the compact van market. Despite its compact size, the Kangoo still offers a 615kg payload and fantastic usability.
At the other end of Renault’s van range is the Master E-Tech – an electric version of the brand’s largest commercial vehicle. Competitively priced next to rivals, the Master offers up to a huge 13m-cubed of cargo volume and an impressive maximum payload of 1,308kg. The electric Master is easy to drive and offers a claimed range of up to 126 miles.
