Best Electric Vans 2024

These are some of the best electric vans to check out today
The world of electric vans has grown in recent years. Now seen as a must-have for drivers doing inner-city runs and last-mile deliveries, electric vans are a viable and often cost-friendly way of getting goods from A to B - particularly in urban environments.
As a result, there’s plenty of choice in the electric van segment so you’re able to find the right model for you and the job you need it to do. Let’s take a look.
Volkswagen ID.Buzz Cargo

The Volkswagen ID.Buzz is one of the most stylish electric vehicles currently available, with this Cargo version (which we currently have on offer) bringing a more practical take on the still-quite-practical passenger-focused Buzz. With a range of up to 254 miles, it has plenty in the ‘tank’ while inside you’ve got enough space for two sideways-loaded Euro pallets.
On the outside, the Cargo is just as stylish as the regular Buzz but features blocked-off windows to help with security. Nippy handling and a small turning circle make this a great choice for around-town drivers, too.
Peugeot e-Partner

Peugeot has a really wide range of electric vehicles, utilising the firm’s learnings in passenger vehicles while making the most of its extensive knowledge of commercial models. The Partner is one of its most famous and, in the electric version, it gets all the same great attributes as the standard model but with the benefit of a zero-emissions powertrain.
The e-Partner is accompanied by a range of up to 171 miles while a maximum payload of 800kg means that it’s got the load-carrying boxes ticked as well.
DFSK EC35

The DFSK EC35 may have a certain Transit-esque look to it, but it’s got plenty more up its sleeve than looks alone. It may be compact, but with a 1,015kg payload, it’s remarkably versatile. Its 4.5-metre length makes it ideal for nipping through city streets and ensures that you won’t have much hassle when it comes to parking.
As standard, the EC35 comes with a 101-mile range, but if you opt for a version with an efficiency-boosting 50mph speed limiter then that range goes up to 166 miles.
Ford E-Transit

There are few vans which are quite as famous as the Ford Transit and now, this ever-popular model has been given an electric twist. Called the E-Transit, this battery-powered van can deliver up to 195 miles of range yet is just as usable and versatile as the standard diesel-powered model.
It’s got an impressive payload of 1,711kg and like the standard Transit, it’s available in a variety of bodystyles to ensure that it can be tailored to suit any kind of job.
Vauxhall Vivaro Electric

Vauxhall has a wide range of electric vehicles and its Vivaro has proven to be one of its most successful. It’s a practical and well-sized battery-powered van with a range of up to 205 miles and a payload of up to 1,226kg. Inside, it’s nicely made but robust enough to cope with daily life.
Remember, that because Vauxhall is part of the wider Stellantis group, you’ll find the same technology as the Vivaro in other models. It’s why the Vivaro is nearly identical to the Citroen e-Dispatch, Peugeot e-Expert, Toyota Proace Electric and the Fiat e-Scudo - so if there’s not a Vauxhall which works for you, then it could be worth checking out those other options.
