Land Rover feels like a part of the fabric of the UK. It’s a brand that inspires images of cross-country adventures and long-distance road trips in cars with the kind of equipment on-board that’ll mean you’ll never get stuck. In more modern times, Land Rover has adapted to combine these elements with a more future-forward and luxurious finish which means its cars are a little easier to live with on a day-to-day basis.
But if you’re still yearning for that sense of adventure, don’t think that Land Rover has lost this entirely. Its current range of vehicles incorporates some of the latest off-roading technology available on the market, as well as some really clever suspension and tyre setups that do mean these cars can be pushed further and harder than you might think.
Lately, Land Rover has also turned its eye to electrification. As a core part of the wider JLR group, Land Rover is already on the path to becoming a fully electric brand by 2030, with billions of pounds of investment being poured in to help it achieve this goal. Plus, Land Rover has already started integrating more efficient plug-in hybrid engines into a number of its cars, delivering the option of running on electric-only power for shorter distances.
Land Rover includes a really comprehensive warranty setup with its cars. All models get a full unlimited mileage or three-year warranty with the purchase of any new model, with any required repairs completed at Land Rover Approved Service Centers. Plus, any corroded bodywork or damaged paint will be fixed as well. There’s also the option to take out a Land Rover Extended Warranty to cover the vehicle once that initial three-year period is up.
During that first three years, you’ll also get complimentary roadside assistance, with technicians on-hand to help 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It covers all kinds of motoring mishaps, too, from a conventional breakdown right the way through to those annoying punctures.

Land Rover’s reputation has been established through its go-anywhere range of cars. From the original Series I which put this company at the forefront of people’s minds when it came to off-roading models, to the modern Defender range, Land Rover’s positioning on the motoring landscape is all about that ability to tackle whatever terrain is ahead of you.
More recently, Land Rover has also added some more comfort-focused touches designed to make everyday driving a little more pleasant. On cars like the Discovery, we’ve seen it go from strength to strength in terms of usability and spaciousness, with the latest model’s roomy interior and cleverly packaged seven-seater layout making it a great option for families.
The Discovery Sport, too, has been reshaped into a far more premium model than it started. A big part of this - as it is with so many other Land Rover models - is the inclusion of some cutting-edge interior technology that completely transforms the overall experience. Land Rover’s super-smart Pivi Pro infotainment software is one of the best, combining loads of features with a really easy and intuitive design that makes it very simple to get up to speed with.
At present, Land Rover doesn’t have a fully electric model in its stable. It does, however, have a number of models which use a plug-in hybrid setup, combining petrol and electric power for lowered emissions and improved fuel economy. Available on Discovery Sport, Discovery and Defender models, this clever engine design can return an electric range of up to 37 miles in the Discovery Sport while still delivering the go-anywhere driving experience that you’d expect from a Land Rover.
Though nothing has been confirmed as yet, it’s expected that a fully electric version of the Defender will be entering the fray soon too. Initial reports expect it to arrive around 2025, so it’s definitely not far away until we’ll see a full battery-powered Land Rover.
