The world of electric vehicles is showing no sign of slowing down, which is why there’s a whole host of new models set to grace our roads over the next few months. Here at My Electric Lease, we’re specialists in all things EV and can get you behind the wheel of a new battery-powered model for less.

But which cars should you be looking out for? Let’s take a look at what’s due on the scene soon.

Citroen e-C5 Aircross

Citroen’s largest SUV - the C5 Aircross - is getting the EV treatment soon, bringing battery power to this spacious and practical model. In typical Citroen style, it’s got a real focus on comfort, too, with well-padded seats and a softer suspension setup than you’ll find in many rival SUVs.

With a range of up to 322 miles, the e-C5 Aircross can do a good distance between trips to the plug, while a long-range model - capable of over 400 miles - will arrive on the scene further down the line.

Mercedes GLC

The GLC is going to bring in a whole new era of electric Mercedes models. As well as a striking design with a head-turning front-end look, the GLC will get an impressive range of up to 443 miles from a single charge.

Plus, because of the car’s 800-volt architecture, it’ll be able to add up to 188 miles worth of range in just ten minutes.

BMW iX3

Hot on the heels of the GLC is BMW’s new iX3. Kicking off the firm’s ‘Neue Klasse’, which is a whole new breed of vehicles, the iX3 will arrive with cutting-edge technology and an impressive range of over 500 miles.

It also gets the eye-catching design that we’ve seen on many of the latest BMW models alongside a huge full-width head-up display.

Kia EV5

Kia has quickly become one of the go-to names in the world of electric vehicles and it will be expanding its range even further with the arrival of the EV6. As a mid-size SUV, the EV5 has been designed with practicality in mind while a strong level of standard equipment ensures that it keeps with what people expect from Kia.

A range of up to 329 miles accompanies the EV5, too, while a 10 to 80 per cent charge could be completed in as little as 30 minutes thanks to a top-whack charging speed of 150kW.

BYD Atto 2

BYD is one of the biggest names in the world of Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers and it’s set to increase that popularity even further with the arrival of the Atto 2. Acting as BYD’s most compact model, the Atto 2 will rival the likes of Ford’s Puma Gen-E.

Its 261-mile range is competitive, too, and thanks to 100kW charging capability, you should be able to sort a 10 to 80 per cent top-up in just 23 minutes.

Jaecoo E5

Jaecoo has quickly become a popular name in the world of low-cost electric vehicles and the new E5 is its latest offering. Smaller than the already-popular J7, the E5 is a compact SUV with a range of up to 248 miles. It can be charged from 30 to 80 per cent in 27 minutes, too.

As with other Jaecoo models, the E5 comes with a high level of standard equipment including a Sony audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a striking 13.2-inch infotainment system.

You’ll find a great range of electric vehicles available now through My Electric Lease, but if you’re interested in an EV which isn’t on our page just yet, speak to one of our team and we’ll be able to advise on when it might be in stock.
